A Tribute:
We salute you, Mr. Chairman
It is with profound grief and deep respect that we bow our heads to your memory. Unassuming and without fuss, you oversaw the growth of New Media, the sapling you helped plant and nurture. You had seen it blossom into India's largest publishing house of bilateral trade magazines. Stunned as we are at the suddenness of your demise, we rededicate ourselves to work for the values you had cherished and the standards you had laid down for the publications. You'll forever remain an inspiration for us.
New Media Staff

Dear Readers,

Greetings. Canada has been ranked as one of the best countries in the world to do business, thanks to its openness to foreign trade and capital, high-quality infrastructure and opportunities within the North American Marketplace that have brought out this conducive business climate. There are couple of sectors which have contributed to this distinction, the single-most important sector that has done Canada proud is the Automobile Sector. The other sectors that have added their individual mite are Advanced Manufacturing, Life Sciences and Information Communication Technologies. In this issue there are individual articles dedicated to Automobile and Advanced Manufacturing, areas in which both India and Canada can forge partnerships in the long-term. This issue of Trade-Links magazine is a preview to the Premier Dalton Mcguinty's visit to India between January 14 and 18, 2007. Tripti Chakravorty, Assistant Editor for Trade-Links was part of a team of nine journalists who were taken to the Province of Ontario by its government in advancement of the Premier's visit. The purpose was to have a brief glimpse into Canadian business and lifestyle. However, short and compact the program was, she has been able to report on various company visits that were part of her trip. Some of the stories to look out for in this issue are on the Ontario Food Terminal Board, Peller Estates Winery and Naigara Falls besides the visits to MaRS, Greater Toronto Airports Authority and the Toronto Stock Exchange. With a science background and education close to his heart, Premier Dalton Mcguinty is sure to make India Trade Mission a success and build on a long-term strategy from this mission.
Wishing you a very Happy New Year,
