Bombardier Transportation, the chosen one to build and complete rail vehicles in India
Bombardier Transportation of Canada was given a contract to supply 340 BOMBARDIER* MOVIA metro cars to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (DMRC), mid last year. The contract is valued at approximately 427 million Euros (US$ 590 million). The delivery of the trains are to begin in the last quarter of 2008 with completion in 2010 to provide effective public transport during the Commonwealth Games that will be held in New Delhi in October 2010.
